“Divorce” can mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. To me, when I look at you, it means: Someone who’s getting up for good after they’ve been knocked down countless times; It means reclaiming their integrity and values; It means honoring their future self, and the beautiful person they were meant to be; It means exemplifying to others, of all ages, how to show up for ourselves even if and when others can’t show up for us, so that in return, we can give fully and love freely; To me, it means Warrior: someone who can and will get through anything, especially when it all seems so impossible, because they chose to step back into their true self. And as their true self, they can never go wrong.
