I See You Mama – Baby
I See You Mama – Baby
Finally, a card that brings to light all the invisible work a new mother does, and tells her she's doing an incredible job. A second version is also available for moms of little ones (3ish - 6ish years old).
I asked one of my best friends recently to track her typical day as a new mom. This design is based on what she graciously sent me.
The idea for this card came to me after she and I were talking one day and I asked her, "What's something you'd want to hear right now that would make you feel good?"
She quickly started giving me ideas: "That I'm doing a good job. That what I'm doing is really hard."
And then she paused... and I could hear her getting choked up as she continued, "That every day might be a blur, because I'm constantly doing something for another human and that's really hard. Just that recognition. Or... That someone sees the work I'm doing; that I'm not invisible."
"I just want to hear that I'm doing a great job."
Moms, you are the heroes of our society. I hope this card makes you feel at least a tiny sense of that - whether on Mother's Day, or any day. But especially Mother's Day.
